Hive Charter
Members of Hive are loyal to their Faction and will defend our friends, guild members and the Faction with everything we have. We play with honour and bravery, and conduct ourselves in a manner which promotes the fun of the game and the wellbeing of the guild and its members. Most importantly we strive for one common purpose: to have fun together! We’re not a purely hardcore raiding guild but we do aim to progress far into end-game raiding.
The Guild Master and Officials are there to keep things running smoothly and to resolve any issues that arise.
Code of Conduct
Any member of Hive should remember that whatever they do reflects on the guild as a whole. When you act you are acting on behalf of our guild.
* Do not annoy other players involved in PvE activities, even if it’s the other faction, Nor Grief them in PVP.
* Help out guild mates when you can, but don’t expect people always to drop what they’re doing to help you.
* Remember that we are a large and diverse community in terms of age, gender, race, preference and nationality. Respect other people’s views.
* Do not spam channels. Try not to resort to bad language or insults. Temporary silence bans may result.
* Do not use exploits, cheats or hacks. This can get you banned and reflects badly on all of us.
* Gold buying, once found out, is a cause for a removal from the guild.
* Take responsibility for ensuring that you have a good reputation among other players on the server.
* When involved in PvP defend our faction with honour, and always play fairly.
* Age 18+ preferred.
Alts and Characters
Sharing of a character by players on a regular long-term basis is not allowed. There should always be one regular RL person associated with each character. Solo grinding by e.g. a friend is OK, however. It should be cleared with an officer first if a non-regular player for some special occasion wishes to control the character in parties or raids. Letting others level up a char will not be allowed.
Breaking of this rule can result in removal, also if other people have access to your char it should be known by the officers.
Any Sith or Horde alts you have on our main server should either be in Hive or our alt guild Swarm or unguilded. Exceptions should be agreed with the GM. In general you should not raid any instance with a lockout timer with other guilds without permission. Of course you are very welcome to party with people outside Hive, but we pride ourselves on being a mains guild where everyone plays their time for the guild.
As a rule of thumb it means: We recruit the player not the pixels.
Partying, Raiding and Loot Rules
New recruits may not be able to sign up for every raid before they are a member, although you are encouraged to party with other members to get to know them during your trial period.
We have special loot rules for most instances, involving a EPGP system. For looting in groups always ensure that loot rules are clearly agreed in your group.
Forums
Never make a personal attack on anyone. Joking with other players is of course allowed and encouraged, but if you think something you say might be taken the wrong way, do not say it, or if you do, make certain everyone can tell you are not being serious. Threads/posts that descend into personal attacks will be deleted.
We take our forum seriously as a big integral part of the game, inactivity or non participation (non reading/account) will be reasons for removal.
Discipline
With a large guild like Hive, it is important that all of our members recognize that they are ambassadors for the guild, and that you represent Hive in everything you do under the guild banner, whether in game or on message boards. The GM will take very seriously any actions which reflect badly on the guild’s reputation or position.
Repeated complaints regarding a member will result in a review of this player by the GM and Officials. If they agree that this player is a liability to the guild, they will be asked to leave (and may be kicked if they refuse). If a player quits the guild, they will not be re invited to the guild automatically. Any such re invitation is at the discretion of the Guild Master and Officials.
Recruiting
Recruiting is by invitation only, and requests should be made directly to the Guild Master or Recruiting Officer (see the recruiting forum and link).
We have some limits on the number of recruits in each class at a given time, and each recruit is on that rank for approximately two to three weeks.
During the trial period, the Guild Master and Officials reserve the right to kick any player who causes trouble.
Since we want our guild members to be active, we may also kick recruits who do not log on for an extended period of time.
At the end of the trial period, the GM, and Officials will discuss the player and decide whether or not to make them a member of Hive.
